After finding huge success with Surface Hub 1 globally, Microsoft is aiming to further bridge the gap between digital and physical workspaces with Surface Hub 2S.

“Microsoft has invented the concept of productive PCs and we can do the same with Teams and groups of people,” Mirna Arif, Surface Business Group Director at Microsoft Middle East and Africa, said.

In the digital transformation era, “we are becoming more mobile whether we like it or not. We wanted to bring an experience to everyone whether they are inside or outside the office. We wanted them to be able to share the content and see who is talking about instantaneously. People with the phone can see and collaborate their own ideas, whether it a Surface or any other devices that run Microsoft Teams,” she said.

Microsoft Teams, an upgraded version of Microsoft Skype for business, is available in the region for businesses. Microsoft Teams is available in the region for businesses.

“The modern workplace demands more from employees and cross-skilled teams collaborating continuously and it has become the new norm. It takes something that has long been a fixture in the conference room – the shared screen – and transforms it into a mobile computer, built for teams,” she said.

Mirna said that Microsoft has sold more than 6,000 units in more than 25 countries and there is huge demand from existing customers for the new device.

The 50-inch Surface Hub 2S is priced at AED 34,870 and comes with one Surface Hub 2 Pen and one Surface Hub 2 Camera.

It is only available in the UAE now but shed said that other Gulf countries will follow soon.
