Biostar today unveiled its newest Z690A-Silver motherboard, geared towards mid-range gaming. The board is designed to take full advantage of the latest Intel 12th Gen CPUs as well as PCIe 5.0 for the latest GPUs and storage devices.

The Z690A-Silver motherboard supports up to 4 DIMMs of high-speed DDR4 RAMs capable of overclocking numbers exceeding 5000+Mhz (O.C), with a maximum amount of 128GB. The board also features two PCIe M.2 4.0 slots for fast storage access.

Biostar promises hardware safety for all components, supported by their heavy-duty 70A Dr.MOS and proprietary Digital PWM technology that designed to keep all hardware components safe while providing efficient, stable current throughout the motherboard.

The motherboard features signature design elements from its predecessors, featuring a mostly silver and black color palette. Users can utilize the Vivid LED software to fully customize RGB lighting via 5V and 12V headers on the motherboard, which can be applied to RGB strips, cooling fans, and more. Debug LEDs built into the board also come in handy for easy troubleshooting with problems with GPU, CPU, RAM, and Boot.
