Asus and Intel share their latest breakthroughs on performance day

Asus and Intel have held a co-event that we got invited to, the event was about the updates that happened during the past two years since it’s the first offline event to be held after the lockdown happened.

The event was attended by key personnel in both Asus and Intel, and they shared a recap and updates of what happened in the last two years and how the collaboration between the two giants is proving to be beneficial to both of them.

Asus’ achievements in the last two years

Asus started the event by walking us through their accomplishments during the last two years, the brand has taken the number 1 spot during 2021 when it comes to OLED laptops and creator laptops with a whopping 68% market share, and the brand has also secured the number 1 spot in the Gaming laptops market in the EMEA region while also securing a yearly growth of 40% for Strix gaming sub-brand

Intel's 12th gen CPUs and Arc GPUs

Intel’s regional director Ali Riza Kucuk has taken the stage next to show us how Intel’s focus on the laptop market has benefited the company and the users, he talked about the huge growth in the gaming segment with 2.9 billion gamers worldwide with a 25% year over year growth.

To address this growth and keep up with the gamers’ demands, Intel has launched its latest 12th Gen processors with performance in mind, especially for the H series that now has a base power of 45 Watts of TDP to provide gamers and creators with extra power.

The new processors are also equipped with Intel’s latest architecture with performance cores for high demanding tasks and efficiency cores for power saving, support for DDR5 is also included with this architecture for low latency and high bandwidth, but Intel didn’t drop support for DDR4 just yet as they look to provide more flexibility for the users looking to get a better value out of their laptops.

Intel has also showcased the head-to-head performance of its flagship processor Core i9-12900HK and it’s claimed to be outperforming the best CPUs from Apple, AMD and the past generation flagship processor from Intel, making it the fastest mobile processor to date.

New cooling solutions for Asus’ laptops

Asus has taken the stage back when Ivan Besskyi -Asus’ East EMEA Regional PR leader- began to talk about the new cooling solutions used in Asus new laptops, to coupe up with the new powerful CPUs from Intel, Asus has used an enhanced cooling solutions in its laptops which were developed entirely in house from Asus’ team.

Asus’ new cooling solution used a newly designed fans with 87 blades that comes at a thickness of 0.2 to 0,3 mm that should provide more efficiency while keeping the noise levels lower than before.

We’ve also seen the new design of the newest laptops which used dual heat pipes accompanied by better heat dissipation which meant the keyboard and the palm rest area won’t gett affected by the heat coming from the laptop when used over a long period of time in the newest laptops from Asus.

There's definitely an interesting future ahead with Asus and Intel and we're excited to see how the new laptops from Asus paired with 12th gen processors from Intel will fare against the competition.
